We are very excited to again bring you the Northeastern South Dakota Celtic Faire and Games, on the third Saturday of every September, located on the Brown County Fairgrounds on the north side of Aberdeen which is on the corner of Fairgrounds Road and Brown County Highway 10 (also N 5th Street for Aberdeen). Click here for directions.

The NESD Celtic Faire and Games is based in Aberdeen, South Dakota. This event provides an exciting venue for all individuals who have any interest in Celtic heritage or history, arts, sports, and entertainment.

Some activities and entertainment that are provided are as follows (but not limited to):

  • Vendors with a vast array of products for sale
  • Bagpipers of both the Scottish and Irish styles
  • Scottish and Irish dancers
  • Traditional and modern Celtic music
  • Scottish Heavy Games
  • Children’s activities
  • Numerous Celtic themed demonstrations
  • The first night ends with a ceili, originally a community party, which today usually consists of live music and dancing.

Our commitment to the Celtic heritage is paramount in our preparations. We hope to provide this region with an event of the highest quality that will, year after year, draw crowds of people from near and far who have a love of all things Celtic, and those who just want to learn more about the Celtic culture and history.
