Many of the vendors will be demonstrating their craft in their
various booths. Other cultural demonstrations will be
scheduled through-out the day.
Workshops
A variety of workshops will be offered throughout the event
such as pennywhistle lessons, Celtic Knot construction,
dance workshops and more!
Beginning Tin Whistle
For absolute beginners! Learn to play a tune on the Irish whistle. This accessible instrument opens a gateway into the other instruments of Ireland. Come learn this fun, social music with us! A tin whistle in the key of D is required. Please contact Lois at vivandiere57@yahoo.com if you need information on how to obtain a whistle. A limited number of whistles will be available for purchase on the day of the work shop for $12.00.
Spindle Spinning and Loom Weaving
Exactly how were tartans made????? You’ll gain a new appreciation for the beautiful tartans, tapestries and other fiber arts of the Celtic People.

Highland Dance Workshop
Learn simple highland dances such as the Highland fling and others. No previous Dance experience is necessary.
Irish Softshoe Dance Workshop
Join members of the Rince na Chroi Irish dancers from St. Paul, Minnesota for an introduction to Irish softshoe dancing. Participants will learn basic techniques and positions, along with a step of the Irish jig. This class is open to people of all ages. No experience is necessary.
Irish Hardshoe Dance Class
Join members of the Rince na Chroi Irish dancers from St. Paul, Minnesota for an introduction to Irish hardshoe dancing. Participants will learn some basic dance steps and what makes Irish hardshoe dancing different from tap dance or clogging. This class is open to people ages 7 and older with at least one year of dance experience.
The Celtic Influence in Traditional American Music /American Clogging Demonstration– Follow the parallel paths of Traditional Celtic and American music and ancestry they share. Clogging demonstration by the ARCC Cloggers.
Great Kilt Wrapping Demonstration
With several yards of cloth and a little know-how, discover how you too can don the kilt!
Benjamin Victor Sculpture
Local artist Benjamin Victor will have a small scale model of his “Robert the Bruce” sculpture that took second in the contest held in Aberdeen, Scotland. Other works oh his will be on display and for purchase.
Sheep herding Demonstration
Two sheep herding demonstrations will be given by Pete Carmichael featuring Border Collies.
